TORONTO’s Hospital for Sick Children, 555 University Avenue, is one of Canada’s most research-intensive hospitals and has generated discoveries that have helped children worldwide.  Known locally as SickKids, it was founded in 1875 and is affiliated with the University of Toronto.  A footnote: the hospital is situated on the site of actress Mary Pickford’s birthplace.  <PHOTOS BELOW>
