TORONTO WILL SOON HAVE ANOTHER FLAT IRON BUILDING AS PART OF THE WEST END’S ‘GALLERIA’

The flatiron design by Hariri Pontarini Architects (HPA) will be one of three residential Galleria buildings at Dufferin and Dupont streets.TORONTO’s original flatiron is located in the St. Lawrence Market neighbourhood and dates back to 1892.

The new flatiron building, at 31 storeys, features a red-brick two-storey podium for retail, and above that a fitness centre with a yoga and meditation room. On the 11th floor will be a lounge, and outside a pool and barbecues. Galleria III was designed by Hariri Pontarini Architects, who selected this block because of its unique shape.
