This week the locals came out to enjoy the roiling surf, rain showers, overcast skies and high winds as our Lake Ontario adopted the look of the mighty Atlantic.

Travel a few kilometres from TORONTO’s Financial District on the #501 streetcar, and you’re in a land of rocks, sand and surf. Disembark at Woodbine Avenue and go one block east, turn south and you’ll be at water’s edge. Continue east along the wooden boardwalk or bike the Martin Goodman Trail and you’ll pass several beaches, parks and gardens.

The air is fresh, the people and dogs are friendly.
