GLENN GOULD (1932-1982) is one of the most celebrated and best known pianists of the 20th century. He lived and worked in TORONTO, did much of his writing, composing and recording here, and was a regular on CBC radio and television. His love for animals is commemorated by the Toronto Humane Society, River Street at Queen East in CORKTOWN.
Glenn died shortly after his 50th birthday, and is buried in MOUNT PLEASANT CEMETERY beside his parents.
