Greg Curnoe (1936-1992) – the Canadian painter who loved bicycles

ORANGEBIKEGREG CURNOE (1936-1992) was a Canadian painter, known for his work in popular culture and pop art.  His subjects were often associated with LONDON, ONTARIO – where he grew up and opened his studio.  Greg was an avid cyclist, and his hand-built Mariposa bicycles often figured in his work.  While on a club ride in 1992, Curnoe was killed by a pickup truck when it plowed into his group of cyclists.
