The psychological state of waiting for takeoff – “Passengers” by John Schabel

In the 1990’s JOHN SCHABEL set up his camera, equipped with a telephoto lens, on overpasses near New York airports.  Peering into the cabin windows of aircraft awaiting takeoff, he found miniature studies of human beings about to be catapulted into space.  We’ve all been there.
