LONDON is all spit and polish these days. But in the East End, muralists and street artists still ply their trade. As in TORONTO’s Rush Lane and Ossington neighbourhoods, their work is both stylish and spectacular.

A good place for street murals is Stokes Croft in Bristol.
Will have to check Bristol out some time. Mural painting has become an urban art form, and in Toronto some of the painting districts are now tourist attractions. Berlin is another painter’s paradise. In London, one of the Brick Lane painters told me that they always ask permission before putting major work up on walls. I like that.
