RUSH LANE – SEVERAL BLOCKS OF MURALS, PROTECTED BY THE CITY

It’s not the Royal Academy, but RUSH LANE’s year ’round street art and mural spectacular is well worth a visit.  The Lane itself is several blocks long, and runs parallel to Queen Street West.  Enter from the west side of Spadina Avenue, half a block south of Queen.  Every AUGUST many of the city’s muralists and street artists repaint, so the art here is always bright and fresh.  A few months from now it will look totally different.  Comedian Rick Mercer uses Rush Lane as a set for his weekly television rants.
