‘Thank you Glenn Gould’, from the Toronto Humane Society, River Street

GLENN GOULD (1932-1982) is one of the most celebrated and best known pianists of the 20th century.  He lived and worked in TORONTO, did much of his writing, composing and recording here, and was a regular on CBC radio and television.  A boxed set of his video and audio recordings is now being marketed.  Glenn died shortly after his 50th birthday, and is buried in Mount Pleasant Cemetery beside his parents.

Glenn Gould’s love for animals is commemorated by the Toronto Humane Society, River Street at Queen Street East.
